Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is one of the most modern imaging methods. It enables completely radiation-free imaging of soft tissues and bony structures.
Until now, horses from Switzerland had to be referred to clinics abroad or put under general anaesthesia for magnetic resonance studies, as there was no device available for examinations on standing animals in Switzerland. With the Hallmarq device installed at the AOI Centre, which is operated in close partnership with the referring veterinarians, we have now closed this gap.
